been living but not living for anything
You see things as empty and meaningless
The world has caused you pain and suffering
And left you with a cold heart as hard as stone
Not caring or believing that life is worth anything
Then someone enters your life and turns it upside down
Puts a smile on a face that always had a frown
They show you the better side of life
All that you had been deprived of
Their touch warms the heart
And makes it beat again
They whisper words to you that shake your very soul
And now when you awake from your nights of blissful slumber
The world seems to you as if its glowing
The skies gleam at you
The birds songs speak of the feeling within
The air itself seems to taste sweeter than before
At times I think you were sent from above
I was taken from the dark and into the light
